The Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) recognizes educational bodies that teach universal, safe methods for the treatment of lymphedema. Following their lymphedema training, therapists must work for one year with lymphedema patients before sitting for the National Certification Exam offered by LANA. Therapists who pass this exam replace the "CLT" after their name with "CLT-LANA."
