When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the leg with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made.

For the security of your patient, a matching Polartec® Safety Sok is included with every Ready-Made Lower Leg order. This comfortable addition extends from the base of the toes to the mid-calf and provides a non-skid surface to protect the patient from slipping should she get up during the night. Safety Soks can also be added to any Made-to-Order or Custom leg order and are recommended when wearing the JoViPak garment during the day to protect it from additional wear and tear. This garment can also be worn over bandages.
