The Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) recognizes educational bodies that teach universal, safe methods for the treatment of lymphedema. Following their lymphedema training, therapists must work for one year with lymphedema patients before sitting for the National Certification Exam offered by LANA. Therapists who pass this exam replace the "CLT" after their name with "CLT-LANA."
When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the leg with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made. The length measurement is then taken even with the floor, along the inside of the leg, up to each circumference point.
forMen provides effective gradient compression therapy yet looks like fine quality dress socks. Features and benefits include a fashionable ribbed design, a reinforced heel to resist shoe abrasion, strong yarns to resist wear and tear, a smooth toe seam and bubble shape for added comfort, microfibers to wick away moisture six times faster than regular nylon for a dryer cool feeling, and a special formula to fight odor by inhibiting growth of fungi and bacteria on the socks.
Most comfortable compression socks I've ever worn. Mine are 30-40 and don't hurt my feet at all. I weld 12 hours a day, no problem. Only ones I'll buy again
- Craig Kelsey
I also use an Easy wrap to help with my leg swelling. These are a perfect daytime/work alternative to the compression wrap
- James A Guinn
These have caused all the swelling to go down in my legs and feet.

I NORMALLY WEAR 'THIGH HIGH' COMPRESSION SOCKS (20-30 mmHG) BUT NOW AND AGAIN I WILL SWITCH-OFF TO USING THE 'KNEE HIGH' SOCKS (ALSO 20-30) FOR A DAY OR TWO. THIS GIVES ME AN OPPORTUNITY TO OBSERVE JUST HOW MY UPPER LEGS HAVE (OR HAVE NOT) REDUCED IN SIZE. BOTH STYLES OF SOCKS ARE WELL MADE AND ARE PERFORMING THE INTENDED FUNCTIONS. IF THE KNEE HIGH STYLE HAD A TOP BAND WITH SILICONE DOTS, THAT SOME STYLES OF 'THIGH HIGH' SOCKS DO, THAT MIGHT KEEP THEM FROM SLIPPING DOWN. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE REDUCTION IN SIZE OF BOTH MY UPPER AND LOWER LEGS.
