The JoViPak Upper Extremity is JoViPak's first and most popular garment. It is an arm sleeve with thumb stub available in several lengths and with a number of options. Continuous flow channeling directs lymph flow laterally away from the axilla toward alternate functional pathways.Polartec Power Dry is a unique fabric designed to keep skin dry. All Polartec Power Dry fabric variations feature a bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimized to move moisture away from the skin; the other to dry quickly. Polartec Power Dry fabrics are 100% polyester and are highly breathable. The soft surface next to skin provides all-day comfort and JoViPak has deemed it to be ideal for lymphedema garments. The Polartec Power Dry Silk-Weight is a lighter version of the fabric and resembles silk fabric. The Power Dry Odor Resistant and X-Static versions contain silver threads to minimize odor. For those patients who prefer cotton, JoViPak also offers Cotton/Lycra option (90% Cotton/10% Lycra). Cotton/Lycra does have more stretch and may be a better choice if a patient is likely to have difficulty donning the JoViPak garment or has a skin sensitivity to Polyester.
