 | DID YOU KNOW? | | | The universally agreed upon standard of care for lymphedema is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT). Physicians Michael and Ethel Foeldi created this system in the early 1980s in the Black Forest of Germany. Their system transformed lymphedema care throughout Europe and subsequently in the United States beginning in 1989.

"Remedial Exercises - Lower Extremities"
Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy |
| During the home care phase of the Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) program, each patient is counseled to adhere to a regimen of specialized compression wrapping followed by exercise. This second DVD of a two disc series (one for upper and one for lower extremity lymphedema) consists of three individual routines which have been designed to instruct the participant to correctly exercise his/her affected limb. It is a valuable tool for patients who have completed a series of CDT therapy and are now continuing their individual regimen at home. It is also designed for professionals providing MLD/CDT treatments for patients. |
