The treatment of genital lymphedema is an area of great concern for therapists and patients alike. Until now resources for developing a comprehensive treatment strategy clearly illustrating the Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy protocols have been very limited. An overview of the relevant lymphatic anatomy of the urogenital system in males and females is followed by treatment considerations for primary and secondary genital lymphedema. Actual patient footage is reviewed which details MLD, bandaging approaches, and self care considerations. Although this DVD has been designed primarily for clinicians trained in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), it may also be used as a valuable training aid for patients.
